  • At FDA, the year 2020 was shaped by the global pandemic and our response to it – and while much of our focus has been dominated by our response to #COVID19, FDA has an incredible record of accomplishments – find out the details #FDAVoices #2020atFDA

@US_FDA

  • The FDA is alerting pet owners and veterinary professionals about certain Sportmix pet food products manufactured by Midwestern Pet Foods, Inc. that may contain potentially fatal levels of aflatoxin. https://go.usa.gov/xAkgK
  • This is an ongoing investigation. The agency will continue to monitor this situation and will share new information as it becomes available.
  • Pet owners should stop feeding their pets the recalled products and consult their veterinarian, especially if the pet is showing signs of illness. Owners are urged to report suspected cases to the FDA.

@FDAfood

  • January 1, FDA starts accepting applications for #VQIP (Voluntary Qualified Importer Program). Questions about the benefits? We’ve got answers for #importers of FDA-regulated human and/or animal food. https://go.usa.gov/xn7n4

  • Avoid being cheated by a “miracle” CBD cure. Considering alternative medical treatments containing CBD? Before you act: Don’t stop taking your prescriptions without asking your doctor. Find out more about miracle cure claims at http://ftc.gov/MiracleHealth
