Active Managerial Control for Regulatory Leaders
With FDA’s collaboration, AFDO has created this workshop specifically designed for state, local, territorial, and tribal regulatory agencies. This includes program managers and staff responsible for working on self-assessments or verification audits.
Currently, this training will only be offered up to twice a year.

AMC for Regulatory Leaders will be a 4-hour session that takes real-world experiences to the next level. We answer the question, “How do you know Active Managerial Control is part of the food safety culture in a retail food establishment?”
During the half-day session, we’ll define policy, training, and verification as they apply to Active Managerial Control. Then we’ll take real-world experiences and apply Active Managerial Control, including coaching techniques and best practices. This actively driven workshop addresses the question, “What works, and what can you do today to apply Active Managerial Control?” In the last phase of this workshop, we’ll have a robust discussion about protecting public health, up to and including legal action based on a “pattern of non-compliance.”
