  • Gartner finds IoT & #blockchain integrations are booming. What does this mean for food safety? Think more than traceability. Instead, think….track, trace, MONITOR, & predict. A New Era of Smarter Safety is dawning.
  • ·ALERT: FDA worked with Almark foods to recall certain hardboiled egg products linked to 7 illnesses that are part of our investigation of a Listeria outbreak. We are conducting additional inspections & sampling at the facility. https://go.usa.gov/xpAjQ

@FDAfood

  • The FDA’s latest testing results of PFAS in foods show that nearly all foods sampled from the general food supply do not have detectable levels of certain PFAS.

USDA Issues a Packers and Stockyards Complaint Against Cecil W. Hatcher and H & H Cattle Services L.L.C.

@FDAMedia

  • FDA continues to investigate 50 cases of Scombrotoxin fish poisoning linked to tuna supplied by Truong Phu Xanh of Vietnam. All parts of the supply chain should discard yellowfin/ahi with dates in 2019. https://go.usa.gov/xpkaB
  • FDA determined the recall has not effectively removed potentially harmful products from the market, so today we are naming the 8 importers which may have sold thawed or frozen tuna as ground tuna meat, poke cubes, steaks or loins. The product could still be within its shelf life.
  • While restaurants and retailers should have removed this product, consumers should ask if the yellowfin tuna being served or sold was imported from the Vietnamese supplier Truong Phu Xanh Co. or any of the 8 firms listed in the advisory.
