• The FDA will continue to dedicate all available resources to help ensure that safe and nutritious infant formula products remain available for use in the U.S. and will keep the public informed of progress updates.
• About 331K pounds of base powder produced by Reckitt Nutrition/Mead Johnson Nutrition (Mexico) will be imported. That amounts to about 469K cans, or 6M full-size, 8-ounce bottles. The product is expected to be available for blending and packaging this month.
• The FDA is exercising enforcement discretion for the importation of base powder for PurAmino Hypoallergenic Infant Formula (amino acid-based infant formula with iron) following the review of info provided pertaining to nutritional adequacy and safety. https://fda.gov/news-events/press-announcements/fda-infant-formula-update-august-10-2022
