- FDA is issuing a final rule to revise the type size requirements for calorie labeling on packaged foods sold in glass-front vending machines. https://go.usa.gov/xpagy
- Operators with more than 20 vending machines are required to list calorie information for available products under a 2014 FDA rule.
- Manufactures can assist operators by listing this calorie information of the front of packaging. Under this final rule, manufacturers will be allowed to use a font size more proportional to the rest of the labeling (at least 1.5X larger than “Net Wt” font).
