• Approximately 3.6 billion (approx 60%) of the 6 billion cases of produce handled annually in the U.S. already have a standardized (PTI) Produce Traceability Initiative (https://bit.ly/38SbbDt  ) case-label on them today, says @pma VP of Supply Chain.
• This means we’re closer to case-level, end-to-end produce traceability than you think, if the remaining cases get labeled & every food system participant including distribution centers, restaurants, and retailers capture the content of the PTI label digitally using technology.
• Food traceability, it CAN be done.
