Outbreak Investigation of Salmonella: Eggs (July 2026) – 9/3 Update: FDA’s outbreak investigation complete; CDC declared outbreak over.  “As part of the investigation, FDA conducted an inspection at Midwest Poultry Services, L.P. in Texas and collected environmental samples. Three samples collected during FDA’s inspection were positive for Salmonella and match the strain of Salmonella Enteritidis causing illnesses in this outbreak by whole genome sequencing.”
