  • It was an honor to be at the  @WhiteHouse celebrating the Inflation Reduction Act today. I have never been more optimistic about the future of American agriculture. Thanks to the IRA, CHIPS, American Rescue Plan and Bipartisan infrastructure Law, there are bright days ahead!
  • The Inflation Reduction Act provides historic opportunities to build critical infrastructure, protect communities from wildfire, and advance climate-smart agriculture and clean energy nationwide. @USDA is excited to implement these initiatives.

@SecVilsack

  • As we recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, we continue to face supply chain challenges that hit our food program operators particularly hard. To provide some relief, today I’m announcing $500 million for school meal programs and $1.5 billion emergency food providers.
  • When we announced Partnerships for Climate Smart Commodities, we didn’t expect to receive over 1,050 applications totaling over $20 billion. We originally allocated $1 billion, but with that response, we tripled it. We’re listening to producers, and they want this. #climatesmart

@USDA

  • We’re providing nearly $2 billion to food banks and school meal programs for purchasing American-grown foods to help these orgs endure supply chain challenges and elevated food costs as they continue to provide nutritious foods to kids and families in need
