  • Since @POTUS’s commitment at the start of the year, @USDA has worked tirelessly to give farmers & ranchers a fair chance to compete in the marketplace. Thank you to Greater Omaha Packing Co. for hosting me this morning & allowing me to see how these grants will be utilized.
  • In January,  @POTUS outlined steps his administration was taking to increase competition in the meat and poultry processing sector. @USDA is fulfilling that promise by announcing an investment of $73M in 21 projects through the Meat and Poultry Processing Expansion Program.
  • In addition to the MPPEP announced today, @USDA is investing $75M for eight projects through the Meat and Poultry Intermediary Lending Program and more than $75M for four meat poultry projects through the Food Supply Chain Guaranteed Loan program. Big day for American producers.
