  • Today FDA announced an additional set of results from our national commercial milk sampling study that reaffirms our assessment that the commercial milk supply is safe. https://www.fda.gov/food/alerts-advisories-safety-information/updates-highly-pathogenic-avian-influenza-hpai
    • New preliminary results of tests on retail dairy samples, including cottage cheese and sour cream, in addition to fluid milk, show that pasteurization is effective in inactivating HPAI.
    • FDA also tested some retail powdered infant formula and powdered milk products marketed as toddler formula, which found no HPAI viral fragments or virus. We’re continuing to identify additional products for testing.
