- The size and intensity of today’s largest wildfires far outpace the scale of efforts to protect homes, communities, & natural resources. At @USDA, we’ve launched a 10-year strategy to address the wildfire crisis in places where it poses the most immediate threats to communities.

- Dangerous chemicals don’t belong in children’s toys. I’m pleased that after over 5 years of litigation, the court upheld @USCPSC’s rule restricting the use of phthalates in kids’ products. CPSC will continue enforcing this rule to protect the public. CPSC Prohibits Certain Phthalates in Children’s Toys and Child Care Products | CPSC.gov

- We’re calling on all members on the industry to share current safety information and to take prompt action to improve processes and programs for the protection of our most vulnerable population.
- The FDA will continue conducting inspections and working with industry to advance research and regulatory activities to ensure the safety of all infant formula in the U.S. market.
- In addition to this call to action, Congress recently added new requirements for manufacturers aimed at mitigating supply chain disruptions through mandatory shortage notifications and risk management plans.
- The agency appreciates the continued collaboration with industry members for improvements made thus far and everyone’s continued efforts to ensure the safety and resiliency of the infant formula supply in the U.S.
