Investigations of Foodborne Illness Outbreaks – FDA is investigating four Cyclospora outbreaks, three of which are listed as “ongoing” linked to products not yet identified. (Total cases: 35).
- CDC’s latest update notes that it has received reports of 145 U.S. cases of Cyclosporiasis from May 1 through June 16, 2026.
- However, two states have reported case counts each above 145:
- Michigan health department – 1,251 cases
- Ohio health department – 177 cases
- In addition, Illinois, North Carolina, Indiana, and Texas have each reported dozens of cases.
