After it sickens 2 dozen, Rizo Lopez Cheese causes massive Listeria Recall
@frankyiannas
- Glad to see Newsweek reporting on this. The slew of foodborne outbreaks (cantaloupe, lead in applesauce pouches, hispanic style cheeses, and more), along with a host of food recalls, is concerning. https://www.newsweek.com/food-recalls-rise-fda-warnings-1872424.
- Thirteen (13) years after the passage of FSMA, it’s fair to ask, has FSMA delivered the projected decreases in foodborne illnesses as originally projected per the various rules? And if no, why not? I’ll be writing a blog about this in the near future. Stay tuned.
- Modern times require more modern approaches. I hope FDA continues what we started with the New Era of Smarter Food Safety blueprint. If delivered, in partnership with the states and industry, it WILL “bend the curve of foodborne illnesses.” #SmarterFoodSafety
- Congratulations @DMunicipality & thank you for all that you do to protect consumers from unsafe food. #SmarterFoodSafety. https://twitter.com/DMunicipality/status/1760351458031997015
