  • While most states have signed up for Summer P-EBT, AK, ID, IA, KS, MS, MO, MT, NH, SD & TX have not done so. I encourage these governors to enroll their states and ensure millions of children can receive nutritional benefits essential to our nation’s economic health and security.
  • Hunger doesn’t take a break when school is out for the summer. That’s why @USDA is working with states to implement Summer P-EBT to ensure families with kids can have extra help with groceries this summer and access to the healthy meals they need to thrive when school is closed.
  • Today, I addressed the @bread4theworld 2023 Advocacy Summit, where I discussed the initiatives being undertaken by @USDA to combat nationwide hunger. By working in partnership, we can eliminate food and nutrition insecurity in schools and underserved communities.
