During this AFDO Produce Committee webinar, you will learn from the Penn State Farm Food Safety Extension team about the “How and Why” of helping Amish and other Plain Sect Communities meet the training requirements in Produce Safety Rule. Their research includes understanding the learning needs and ensuring educational materials are aimed at accommodating those growers who do not prefer computer or other electronic training materials. The result is training and materials that and designed to reflect the communities’ unique farming practices and learning preferences. Resources developed by Penn State for these Plain Sect Communities will be highlighted.
