State Retail Food Program Survey

The Association of Food and Drug Officials (AFDO) has been conducting an interview style survey every other year since 2021 to collect information from State Retail Food Safety Programs as an initiative under the Retail Food Safety Regulatory Association Collaborative on how key components of retail inspection programs are implemented across the nation. This State Retail Food Safety Program Survey includes specific questions about key criteria for risk-based inspections, Food Code adoptions, the VNRFRPS, as well as staff training and standardization. Results from this survey have been used to create some infographic summaries that can be viewed below.
