The Retail Food Safety Data Analytics page provides access to research, reports, and white papers that help regulatory agencies better understand retail food safety trends, evaluate risk-based inspection practices, and identify opportunities to reduce foodborne illness risk.
AFDO gratefully acknowledges the state and local regulatory agencies whose partnership and data sharing made the Retail Data Analytics Project possible. Together, these agencies contributed more than 800,000 routine retail food inspections conducted between 2017 and 2022, providing an unprecedented multi-jurisdictional dataset for advancing risk-based inspection practices and regulatory program evaluation.
