| The U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA’s) Office of Regulatory Affairs (ORA) will host a Stakeholder Conference Call on September 24, 2019, 2:00 – 3:00 pm EDT, to present the concept and design of the draft Voluntary National Retail Food Regulatory Program Standards (VNRFRPS) Flexible Funding Model (FFM), share feedback previously received from stakeholders and trends identified, and solicit additional feedback.ORA’s Office of Partnerships and Office of State Cooperative Programs have presented the vision for a draft VNRFRPS FFM, henceforth referred to as Retail Flexible Funding Model, cooperative agreement at a number of national and regional conferences. The objectives of these funding programs are to advance FDA’s retail strategic goals of reducing foodborne illness risk factor occurrence and promoting full conformance with the VNRFRPS. We hope to make this new Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) available in Fiscal Year 2021.This call is intended for state, local, tribal, and territorial (SLTT) regulatory and public health agency officials and retail food professional association stakeholders who were not able to view the presentation at a previous conference, need further clarification, or would like to provide additional feedback.
