About the Meeting

AFDO invites you to the first ever “Inspector Bootcamp” virtual training academy. This training features renowned subject matter experts providing live presentations to participants, followed by facilitated breakout sessions to continue the discussion in smaller groups.

Regulatory food inspectors and manufactured food inspectors (both new and seasoned) will gain information and resources to assist in day-to-day inspections, with tips and tools to help in the field. During breakouts, participants will hear from other inspectors/jurisdictions, learn from each other and network.

This course will be held over three sessions:

Monday, March 28: Soft Skills/General Training Topics
Monday, April 4: Retail Food Track
Monday, April 11: Manufactured Food Track

All registrants will be included in registration for March 28, with the option to select April 4 (retail focused) and/or April 11 (manufactured focused) based on their primary job responsibilities. Each session will be offered twice in the same day (one AM/East Coast edition and one PM/West Coast edition). The information presented during each “edition” will be identical.

Note: Registration for this course is limited. To ensure registrations are distributed in a fair manner, AFDO reserves the right to limit a single agency’s number of participants for this course to 20 inspectors or less. Due to the interactive nature of the course, registration is intended for individual participants only. Those who register will have access to the formal presentations for 30 days after the training.
