Economics affect food protection by increasing the incentive for cutting corners on food safety controls and the incentive for fraud (“economically motivated adulteration”). This webinar will discuss what we know about food fraud in light of the current economic environment, our best estimates of the scope of fraud globally, and strategies for mitigating against future risks.

She earned public health degrees from University of Minnesota with a DHS Career Development Grant. She serves on the Journal of Food Protection Editorial Board and co-edited Food Fraud: A Global Threat.
