MSU Institute for Food Laws & Regulations

Michigan State University’s Institute for Food Laws and Regulations (IFLR) offers online graduate courses to food industry professionals. Topics include international, US, EU, Canadian, and Chinese food laws and regs; Codex Alimentarius; animal health and food safety; regulatory leadership; beer/wine/spirits; FSMA rules. Courses are asynchronous. Enrollment is as easy as registering for a conference, no transcripts required. Students can take a single course or earn certificates in international or US food law. Many students continue to earn an online LL.M. or M.J. in global food law from MSU College of Law.

MSU Online Food Safety Program

Michigan State University’s Online Food Safety Program strives to educate professionals on how to make global food systems safe. The Training and Credentialing workgroup’s goal is to help develop standard curricula and certification programs that will promote consistency and competency among the IFSS workforce.

In partnership with FDA’s Office of Training Education and Development (OTED) and the International Food Protection Training Institute (IFPTI), this workgroup is developing a National Curriculum Standard (NCS) for regulatory enforcement professionals. Multiple frameworks have been created representing retail and manufactured food, animal food, and laboratory competencies needed by regulatory professionals to fulfill the duties and tasks of their job. Establishing a NCS gets us one step closer to a competent workforce doing comparable work across all strategic partners.

The exhibition space will be adjacent to the General Session meeting rooms. Fees include:

Exhibit space during the Annual Conference from Sunday, June 9, 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday, June 10, and Tuesday, June 11, 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., and Wednesday, June 12, 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

One 6’ skirted table, two side chairs, one 120V Electrical Outlet, and a wastebasket per exhibit space.

One Full Conference registration and one ½-price registration.

Exhibitors will be recognized in the Conference program.

Upon request, an electronic list of participants will be provided to each Exhibitor following the Conference.

Exhibit space selections will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis and are not guaranteed until receipt of payment.
Limitations: We cannot grant exhibit space to vendors of products or services regulated by food, drug, or device government regulatory officials.
