The development of this guidance document, GOODSamples, was a collaborative effort of representatives of the US food and drug Administration (FDA), food and feed state regulatory agencies, and industry.

Description

The impetus for the efforts is to improve analytical Data equivalency among state, federal, and local agencies to enable inter-agency sharing of data collected in support of food and feed Riggins work programs. Because analytical data is only as good as the quality of the sample, is also essential for any improvements to the measurement process begin with the selection of the primary sample. In addition to improve in equivalency, the guidelines provided the foundation for defensible decisions.
