Since Friday, March 20, the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) Food and Cosmetic Information Center (FCIC)/Technical Assistance Network (TAN) has been releasing responses for questions of interest to AFDO members concerning COVID-19.

Real time updates of the FDA’s Food Safety and the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) page can be found at Updates are dated so you are able to tell what information has been added each time.

May 4, 2020 AFDO Update

AFDO knows that many areas of the country are beginning to contemplate and, in some cases, are executing the steps for opening many of the operations that have been curtailed or shuttered due to COVID-19. AFDO has reorganized this page to include guidance to assistance with the relaxing if restrictions. The resources focused on the easing of restrictions and issues surrounding the return of operations have been moved to the top of the page.
