Kacey Roman

Kacey Roman is the Director of Building & Code / Building Official for the city of Freeport, Texas. She is a Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners plumbing inspector; ICC residential and commercial plumbing inspector; code enforcement officer with Level I and II certifications; certified food manager; certified pool/spa operator; backflow prevention assembly tester; building, electrical, mechanical, and a plumbing inspector. She also holds several NIMS certifications. In 2021, Roman became the first female Director of Building & Code and Building Official in the history of the City of Freeport, Texas. She is the immediate past president of the Texas Environmental Health Association. She is an advocate for Environmental Health and Code Enforcement and has testified at the Texas State Capitol regarding proposed legislation.
