Integrated Food Safety System Forum
Save the Date - Tuesday, April 28, 2015
Additional Information to Follow

The Association of Food and Drug Officials (AFDO) will present a full-day Integrated Food Safety System Forum on Tuesday April 28, 2015 during the Food Safety Summit to be held at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, MD.

This forum will bring together high ranking FDA officials, state and local food safety program managers, members of the Partnership for Food Protection (PFP), industry representatives, and consumer groups to discuss the many efforts and projects in place to better coordinate the resources dedicated to food safety in this country. In addition, the Integration Forum will begin the discussion of how FDA and the States plan to implement the new regulations to be mandated by the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), which is a major theme for the Food Safety Summit in 2015.

Joseph Corby, AFDO Executive Director indicated, "This forum is very important as we press forward on the development of a national integrated food safety system. Much has been accomplished through FDA, the Partnership for Food Protection, and AFDO. Stakeholders must be informed and engaged and we are extremely pleased that the Food Safety Summit has agreed to help us produce this event."
