AFDO Webinar Series | CDC Resources | FDA Resources Other Resources State Resources

4.1.20   AFDO Update: Since Friday, March 20, the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) Food and Cosmetic Information Center (FCIC)/Technical Assistance Network (TAN) has been releasing  responses for questions of interest to AFDO members concerning COVID-19. The current list of answers to questions can be found here This document is updated with each new question release.  It is recommended that you check back frequently.

This is in addition to updating its COVID-19 Frequently Asked Questions page to include guidance regarding food products. Real time updates of the FDA's Food Safety and the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) page can be found at https://www.fda.gov/food/food-safety-during-emergencies/food-safety-and-coronavirus-disease-2019-covid-19. Updates are dated so you are able to tell what information has been added each time.  

As part of AFDO's commitment to providing information and resources to members, we will offer links to information that has been developed by our partners and other subject matter experts. If you identify resources that should be considered or your organization develops some of your own that can be shared with other members, please email them or the link to bbenschoter@afdo.org. We appreciate everyone who helps us all be more informed and prepared.

The Association of Food and Drug Officials appreciates that this is an unprecedented time for many of our regulatory and industry partners and understands that many personnel have been asked to refrain from doing much of their normal duties until the COVID-19 outbreak subsides. In an effort to provide relevant content and keep staff engaged, AFDO will be offering a series of webinars and web-based training courses that can be utilized for staff development. AFDO anticipates providing a variety of courses and webinars over the next several weeks, so please visit this webpage on a regular basis to look for the latest training courses being offered. All webinars and courses are free! Just register for the course using the “Register Now” link associated with that course to obtain the log-in information.
