The conference is a forum for delegates from the United States and Canada for discussion of cutting-edge food, drug and medical product safety and security defense initiatives. This year's conference is co-sponsored by the Northeast Food and Drug Officials (NEFDOA), U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society (RAPS).

This year AFDO provides a Pre-Conference Workshop to be held on Saturday, June 2, 2012. This workshop, entitled “Training Essentials – Are You Prepared?” is being sponsored by the International Food Protection Training Institute (IFPTI).
