This session will introduce emerging issues pertaining to the commercialization and regulation of Cell-Cultured products derived from meats, seafood or poultry. Included is an overview of the production process of cell-cultured proteins, labeling of the new products as well as other regulatory issues of this new poultry and meat-based protein products. These products are on the verge of being market-ready, and discussed are whether existing regulations are adequate for emerging safety concerns of these technologies.
