Meat & Poultry Committee Overview
The purpose of this committee is to assist AFDO with the development of policies and positions specific to meat and poultry safety issues. Additionally, the committee provides technical assistance and expertise in the development and delivery of meat and poultry training initiatives, in conjunction with the Education and Training Committee, the Food Committee, and the Retail Food Committee. This committee is also responsible for continuing review and update of AFDOs model Retail Meat and Poultry Processing code and communication of recommended modifications to the Laws and Regulations Committee.
